Women Building Futures program prepares women for mining careers

The BHP Trades Readiness program will give women the practical experience they need for in-demand careers in the male-dominated mining industry.

“The first training cohort of 10 women began in January 2023 in Saskatoon and will graduate during the first week of March. After gaining skills and learning best practices, the women will be ready to take their next steps in the mining industry. Skills training includes five areas: basic tools, electrical, heavy-duty equipment technician, instrumentation and industrial millwright.”
